According to the president of the B.C. Ferry and Marine Workers' Union, the main issue at B.C. Ferries is competitive pay with workers able to earn between 18 and 40 per cent more elsewhere.

Thanks to the employees of B.C. Ferries who were so kind to us on our stressful return trip coming home with our dog which had undergone surgery to remove a cancerous tumour.
